The space

For visiting the storm huts at Lykling?

For the most part, the storm huts at Lykling are an accommodation for you who want an experience unlike anything else. Located in the old gold mining field where Norway's largest gold mining industry spanned at the end of the 19th century and right at the guardhouse of the guard Gullvegen Gardstun, with the large sea to the west as the closest neighbor.

The view is 360 degrees. Here you get the most beautiful sunsets and the quirkiest autumn stormanes close by. Here, the sea dances to the sea as only the sea can. You can lie down on the sea eagles that clear the area, or linger away as the magical starry sky opens up on nice nights. Nice or nasty weather, anyway it's a strong experience to get so close to nature!

Here's how the storm huts are:

The round getaway is based on the traditional igloo and gamme form that has been used by humans on Nordkalotten for several thousand years. The form means that strong gusts of wind cannot be found at any point to catch, and that the wind therefore slips over. The deck they stand on is anchored to the mountain with storm-proof pillars.

They are made in specialty, unbroken glass and with insulated wooden floors. They are furnished with tasteful fixtures with the goal of getting a luxury feel close to nature. Here is of course a heat pump for heating on cold days and for cooling on hot days.

Just outside you will find a toilet room with a combustion toilet and a pump sink. Inside the igloo you will find among other refrigerators, binoculars, bed, chairs and Wi-Fi. Everything is set up for a great experience.

But the good vibe you have to create yourself!

Food/Cooking: Please bring your desired drinks and food with you. There will be a barbecue available outdoors. And inside, there is a small "mini" kitchen with fridge and kettle, where you can cook simple simple food and have storage for brought food and drinks.
